Tractor’s back! Yippee.

Oh mercy me and pass the biscuits…the tractor arrived yesterday afternoon and not a moment too soon. We actually had visitors today who could get down our driveway. My parents came for a late birthday cake and ice cream treat and visited for a while. DH plowed last night until he ran out of diesel and now he’s out plowing pathways in the pasture for the sheep to venture out. They get lazy and will just lay around close up to the house which isn’t good for their pregnancy fitness. It’s important to keep them moving – feed to water and back to the feed area. If we feed them way out in the field they will trek back and forth several times a day and it makes them stay in much better shape for lambing. the water troughs are up closer to the house since the heaters have to be plugged in to keep the water from freezing.

Temps dipped low last night but the wind stopped. DH got up very very early to go see the meteor showers and I saw a few from the bedroom window – too cold to go outside in my PJ’s! In fact, I let Daisy, the Boston Terrier out of her crate and she jumped up on the bed and kept me warm while DH was gone star-gazing. I think it was 4 degrees or so when we got up around 5 a.m.  It was a pretty sunny day.

About got the hat knitted up and going to try the felting tonight. I’ll post more pics once this is underway. Cross your fingers it works in the front-loader!
